Day 1 - Sunday 9 September 2007 First stop after leaving Calais, is Koblenz in Germany. It is virtually all motorway driving, travelling through Belgium and Netherlands on route. Koblenz is situated in the picturesque landscape of the Rhine and Mosel and is surrounded by 4 low mountain ranges. It is one of Germany's major tourist centres. A relatively easy first day to the Rally - about 460kms - so a good overnight stay in Koblenz to get ready for Austria on Day 2. |

DAY 2 - Monday 10 September 2007 From Koblenz, we travel down the Rhine gorge to Bingen, to experience the finest scenery along the whole of the Rhine. Along this stretch you will find there are more castles than anywhere else in the world. We then leave the Rhine and head off to our next stop, Bregenz in Austria, situated on Lake Constance, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Europe. Nearly 500kms today - and hopefully the £100 "bangers" (and the Teams) are fit and ready for some of the classic mountain rally routes of Day 3. |
DAY 3 - Tuesday 11 September 2007 Today's challenge is 430kms of mountainous routes that have been the setting for so many classic motor rally stages over the years. A tough day today! The first leg from Bregenz passes through many narrow little toll roads as we wind our way into Italy for a well-earned short break in Bolzano. The second leg sees us heading into the heart of the Dolomite Mountains - through stunning scenery - along fabulous (and sometimes scary) mountain passes - to our close of day 3 destination: Cortina d' Ampezzo - Italian Queen of the Dolomites. |

DAY 4 - Wednesday 12 September 2007 Another fairly tough day ahead as we travel from Cortina, Italy, and head for Slovenia. The journey takes us through some beautiful alpine valleys and the Triglav National Park as we head to the shores of Lake Bled for our overnight halt. Time to take stock, check cars and drivers are still in good running order, and prepare for the final 2 days.

DAY 5 - Thursday 13 September 2007 Another day and another country: Slovakia. But this is a more gentle drive today, covering around 350kms of less complicated roads. Or so we are told& ! Our destination, Bratislava, is the capital city - and the Party City - and is situated on the banks of the Danube; dominated by its medieval castle. The main centre of attention is the old town where there is an abundance of nightlife with a restaurant, café, bar or pub on every corner. Just the place to end the penultimate day. |

DAY 6 - Final Day - Friday 14 September 2007 The final day. We now head off through the Tatra Mountains to Krakow, Poland's most visited tourist destination. As a city, it has one of the most wonderfully preserved old-town complexes in Europe. A total drive today (for those of us still surviving!) of 365kms in about five and a half hours. We pass through the Polish border after about two and a half hours and continue north through Bielsko-Biala and on to Krakow for the finish. It is now time to get rid of the cars and have some fun. Rest, Beer, Celebrate, Party, and sleep! |
