For Alex & Dan, the journey begins Friday 7 September in Tipton,
West Midlands.
Their first leg to the start line in St. Omer is a
late-night journey down to Dover to catch the 2am Saturday morning ferry for the crossing to Dunkirk.
An ideal opportunity to give their fifteen year old
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.00 GLS a final shake down and to make any minor
adjustments prior to the Start proper. Perhaps even time for a bit
of on-board shut-eye! (Or to send the first report to
RallyInfo.co.uk!)
Once landed, certainly time enough to re-study
the maps and recce the town of St. Omer. Then it will be time to
join the other competitors for scrutineering in the pre-start parc
ferme where the cars and crews will be photographed and have their
documents validated ready for the Rally Start on Sunday
morning. |
