THE DAY 5 CHALLENGE

To take a photo en-route of "The Best Landscape" and provide "The Funniest" photo en-route!

10.35hrs UK time - Phone call in - Currently on the A2 Road heading for Graz on the Austrian - Slovakia border. Estimated distance for today is 275 miles. The route takes them out of Slovenia, back into Austria and on into Slovakia for tonight's destination, Bratislava. The Party Capital!

The border crossing, however, is reported to be very strict - and on the roads there is a zero-tolerance when it comes to alcohol levels. So with the temptation of beer costing as little as 40p per pint in Bratislava, the competitors will have to make sure the alcohol content in their systems is zero by the start of the final day tomorrow.

16.00hrs UK time - Email in - Images attached - Arrived today at 16.10hrs (local time) at the hotel. Compared to the estimate of 275 miles, we actually recorded 320 - but think we took a wrong turn on a couple of motorways.

Third on the road today - but no idea yet of the results of the challenges.

Car still performing well. 1st and 2nd gears both a bit notchy but nothing major. Front tyres are beginning to lose the best of their tread, but still legal! But it means you have to back of a little, particularly in the mountains, and consider the possibility of a blowout and where and under what conditions you definately wouldn't want to suffer one!

16.40hrs UK time -Text in - Results in from yesterday - we now in 2nd place - just waiting for todays challenge to be scored. Will sort out some more images and email them before we leave in the morning.

Rallyinfo - Good news to be back with Internet access in the Hotel today - and some particularly good ones too! We did an update around 2pm today and all being well further updates through tomorrow (Friday).
